Tis the season for cranberries and all of their health benefits. Cranberries help with urinary tract health, lowering blood pressure, prevention of some cancers and improved immune function.
It is easy to find them in any store this time of year, but can be difficult to find once the holiday season is over. Each year I buy extra bags of cranberries and put them directly in the freezer so I can enjoy them through out the year.

If you are struggling with some holiday weight gain, start a food journal. Writing down what you eat can be an eye opener and you may recognize where the extra calories are sneaking in.
